The popular Bishop 5+1 Reunion will celebrate its 20th anniversary Sunday, November 4 through Friday, November 9 at Friendship-West Baptist Church. Funds from Bishop 5+1 will benefit Paul Quinn College. Bishop 5+1 will serve as the culminating “Week of Faith” for Paul Quinn’s 2012 Homecoming, and it marks the first time the revival has took place since 2009.

All events are at 7:30 p.m. and free and open to the public.

“This historic event features six of the most gifted and prominent preachers in America coming together to praise the Lord and raise money for Paul Quinn College,” said Paul Quinn College President Michael Sorrell.

The Bishop 5+1 began as a revival featuring five Bishop College preachers plus one guest speaker. In 2009, the event raised $216,000 and attracted more than 13,000 people.

BATON ROUGE NATIVE CROWNED MISS PAUL QUINN 2012-2013

Before the campus and the Internet world, Ms. T'Edra Z. Jackson was crowned Miss Paul Quinn College 2012-13 on October 25, during Paul Quinn College Homecoming activities. Jackson was selected from a total of six students, who competed for the title. The contestants were showcased in both casual and evening wear and answered questions before a panel of judges.

Ms. Jackson, a sophomore, is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Management. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native graduated from Scotlandville Magnet High School. Jackson also serves Paul Quinn as president of the Quinnite Ambassadors and as a Residential Assistant, and she interned with the City of DeSoto as a part of the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program during the summer.

The Miss Paul Quinn College Coronation Pageant was themed “A Night of Opulence.

The coronation was produced Dallas native Erica Annise, a nationally recognized model, actress, health/wellness advocate.
